Driving Instructors
I see driving instructor training advertised all over the place!
Is it really as simple as doing a course and then being a driving instructor? I certainly thought that it was until speaking with some people who have ‘been there – done that’.
Seemingly the driving instructor qualification is not as easy as it first seems – there is actually quite a low over all pass rate for the people who begin one of these instructor training courses compared with those who actually complete it. I have heard that the pass rate is below 50%! – That is a lot of money wasted on courses that never end up making any money back from teaching driving lessons.
I recently heard that one of the main driving instructor training establishments had gone into administration – presumably there is finally an end to the massive influx of people wanting to teach driving.
I just hope that nobody who has invested big money in training goes on to lose it.
If you are one of the UK's fully qualified driving instructors you may wish to register your driving school with a company such as DSBS for ongoing pupil supply.
If, however you are looking for driving lessons in Southampton, Norwich or Preston you could try the "CL" website to compare prices from driving schools.
