Learning to Drive

One of the most significant 'landmarks' in life is learning to drive. For some, this can be an exciting time of trying and learning something completely different. For others, driving can be an unwelcome 'stress' that is 'dreaded' from week to week!

Driving Lessons 'L Plates'

This 'negative' response could be down one of a number of reasons:

-Poor Quality 'Input' on Driving Lessons
-Anxiety About Costs (putting additional pressure)
-Lack Of Encouragement from your Instructor
-Simply not being 'comfortable' with your traier

There are many more possible reasons than this - but it is a list of some of the more common ones.

There is little use in trying to teach your driving instructor how to teach you. Instead the simplest and generally best option is to simply change driving school. There are many different driving schools out there (literally of all shapes and sizes!), and it is really just a matter of finding one that suits you.

You can compare driving lessons with a company such as this link. By comparing the different services (and ofcourse prices) from different trainers, you can, almost needless to say, ensure you get a good deal. There are lists of things to look for on the site above suggesting some of the different aspects worth considering when making your choice.

A few examples of the many differences between driving instructors are: the length of time that they are qualified, the amount of qualifications that they have (if they are fully qualified at all!), pass rates, etc.

The people who set the driving test (the Driving Standards Agency) say themselves that you have most chance of passing if you have a fully qualified driving instructor. That said, paying a driving school to teach you drive is likely to be an expensive undertaking, generally costing between £500 and £1,500!

So whether you are trying to find driving lessons for the first time ever or have had a previous bad experience with your driving instructor - it is vitally important to make sure you shop around for quality as well as shopping around for price.

Dodgy Wiring From Qualified Electricians

You often hear/see on the TV about cowboy builders, 'tarmacers' - in fact any type of business or trade - but how do you ensure that you get a reliable electrician to rewire your house, wire a socket etc.?

Electrician'

The first and simplest method of finding a good electrician is simply to ask local friends and family. This way you will not only potentially find a good electrician, but there is also the fact that people will be sure to let you know if they have been unsatisfied with the service that they have received in the past - so you'll know who to avoid!

There are many 'trade' organisations around that 'certify' electricians. Although one complaint is unlikely to have the effect of having someone removed from such a register (unless of course it is something serious!) a constant string of complaints could well result in an electrician being removed.

Therefore, someone who is registered with a 'trade' organisation is not guaranteed to provide an excellent service, it could well be a reasonable indication of where to begin looking
